Karie Ike was born and raised in Spokane and attended Ferris High School. She then went to SFCC and Central Washington University where she majored in Biology and played Basketball and threw the javelin in Track. There she earned NWAAC regional MVP honors for basketball as well as 2 time Junior College All American Honors in Track. In 2006 she graduated Eastern Washington University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and began working at U District. During PT school and her early years at UD Karie was an assistant girls basketball coach as well as the team PT at Lewis & Clark High School. In her 8 years they won 3 consecutive State Championships and placed in state all 8 years.
Karie is currently active coaching her kids sports, helping in their schools, and working with the U-District Foundation where she in now a board member. She loves a good adventure with her family, the Seahawks, serving others, and laughing.
