Riki is deeply rooted in the Spokane community and U-District Family. Riki grew up in the Spokane Valley, where she enjoyed playing softball and basketball for University High School. It was during this time that Riki was first introduced to physical therapy and U-District PT while rehabilitating her knee after ACL reconstructive surgery. Riki worked as both an intern and a physical therapy aide at U-District PT while pursuing her B.S. in Biology from Eastern Washington University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University before rejoining the U-District Team in 2015. Riki has a passion for health/wellness, evidence-based orthopedic and sports physical therapy, and is a current member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.
While not working, Riki enjoys all things active including crossfit, running, cycling, hiking and travel, in addition to spending time with family, friends and her dog, Rio.
