Nonprofit Programs

Fitness & Fun Camp

Who: Kids from local community centers, boys and girls clubs, Morning Star Boys Ranch, and Title 1 schools.
What: Encouraging kids to link health and fitness with fun and success by teaching kids healthy eating habits, cardiovascular and strengthening exercises, goal setting, and teamwork.
When: Monday – Thursday during summer and winter breaks.
Where: U-District PT.
Cost: Free.

PE Programs

Who: Local schools that, due to budgetary reasons, have had their PE programs cut.
What: Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches assist, free of charge, in local schools’ PE programs to make sure kids are still getting out and playing.
When: September – June.
Where: Arlington, Assumption, Bemiss, Cooper, Grant, Regal, St. Als, Trinity, Willard, Wilson.
Cost: Free to students.

Scholarships

Who: All motivated athletes who are hungry to better themselves. 
What: 18 personal training sessions to nominated athletes in our community. Our scholarship program has an application process and we take several qualified athletes each year.
Cost: Free, but highly encouraged to “pay it forward” by volunteering at our Fitness & Fun Camp to teach other athletes the same skills they learned during their individual training.

Family Challenge

Who: Families who want to get healthier together!
What: Group workouts, nutrition, and challenges led by personal trainers, physical therapists, and group speakers.
When: 5 week program starting October 10. Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.
Where: U-District PT – 730 N. Hamilton, Spokane, WA 99202.
Cost: $50 fee per family. One child and one adult must attend each session but the entire family is welcome.

Mentorship Program

Who: Professional adults and underprivileged kids.
What: One-on-one relationship with a student who was selected specifically for them. After an intake process, the mentor is matched with a student who shares the same interests, whether its sports, art, music or the outdoors. Two, two hour outings per month.
Cost: Free.

Summer Series Fun Run

Who: Kids and families around our community.
What: 5k Fun Run with one mile option.  Includes David’s Pizza and otter pops with an after party hosted by Negative Split.
When: July.
Cost: Free for kids, $5 per race for adults.
