Our therapy philosophy is based on a team approach using physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and physical therapy aides. Our staff comes together every month for continuing education and to share the latest rehab techniques.

Brian earned his BA from the University of Washington and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Brian specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Brian combines his unique sports medicine education, his sports background as a player and coach, and his passion for the game to provide cutting-edge therapy and performance training.
Brian has been an adjunct professor teaching in EWU’s Physical Therapy Department since 2007. He was elected a board member for the Private Practice SIG in 2016 and he also proudly serves on the U-District Foundation Board. Brian has provided community educational talks to Washington Trust Bank, SNAP, Wa. State Dept. of Transportation, Leadership Spokane, SYSA, Washington State Employees Credit Union, NE Kiwanis, Morning Star Boys Ranch, Avista, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lee & Hayes, Gonzaga’s Business School, EWU Exercise Science Department, and Washington Alliance for Physical Education. Brian is Certified as an Emergency Medical Responder and in Applied Functional Science by the Gray Institute.

Matt received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Prior to George Fox, Matt graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from Whitworth University where he also played basketball reaching the Elite 8 and the Sweet 16’s twice.
He is very passionate about the patients that he works with, helping them achieve their full potential while using evidence-based practice in his treatments.
Matt completed a physical therapy serve trip to Uganda in the summer of 2018 where he treated children with various disabilities and limitations. He worked to leave a lasting impact by educating and empowering leaders and individuals in the community on how best to care for those in need.
He is originally from Spokane and a West Valley High School graduate. In his free time, he enjoys everything outdoors, including hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and archery.

Tayler recently graduated from Spokane Falls Community College, Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Prior to this position, she was an aide with our company for nearly two and a half years. “I’m a people person!. So wherever the people are, you’ll most likely find me!” On the weekends Tayler enjoys making coffee for others, spending the day cozied up in a blanket watching movies, or enjoying a hike outdoors. “Whether you start your day off with movement or coffee, either way I’m your gal!”

Kenzie grew up in Spokane, where she attended Ferris High School and developed a strong passion for fitness and movement through her involvement in track and field. She
continued her education at Whitworth University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Psychology while competing as a collegiate sprinter. Her experience as a competitive athlete shaped her interest in injury rehabilitation. Kenzie went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University.
Following graduation, she returned to Spokane and joined the team at U-District Physical Therapy. She also remains involved with the Whitworth Track and Field
program as a coach. Kenzie enjoys working with athletes and active individuals of all levels. Outside the clinic, she continues to stay active through running and participating
in local races.

Aaryn received her undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University, where she played collegiate tennis. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California. She has previous experience in pediatric physical therapy and has been a member of the U-District team since 2007.

Chris grew up in Denver, CO and received his undergraduate degree in Chris grew up in Denver, CO and received his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University. While attending CSU, he also worked for the athletic training department primarily with the CSU football team. He then attended Regis University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He enjoys playing golf, the outdoors, and is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Denver Broncos.

Jeff earned his BS and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Jeff is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He combines his unique educational background to provide physical therapy services to youth athletes through active seniors.

Ryan graduated with his BA in Health Science at Whitworth University in 2017. He then earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at D’youville University in Buffalo, New York. Prior to earning his to DPT, Ryan worked at U-District as an aide and is now excited to be back treating patients as a physical therapist.
Before starting school he knew he had a passion for orthopedics. Throughout his program, that passion extended to neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease along with post-stroke rehab. In his down time he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, running, and cheering on any Denver sports team (as well as the Buffalo Bills).

Christine graduated from Western Washington University with a BS in Exercise Science and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Christine is a Physical Therapist and a board certified Sports Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Emergency Medical Responder. Christine is a clinical instructor, guest lecturer in EWU’s DPT program, and writer on health topics in the Spokane Club Signals magazine. She enjoys promoting and living an active lifestyle with her husband and three children. Christine has been a member of the U-District team since 2005.

Jamie joined U-District PT in 2015. She received her doctorate from Eastern Washington University, and is a licensed physical therapist in the state of Washington. Her interests include: orthopedic rehab, return-to-sport, pediatric/teen rehab, and manual therapy. Jamie is also a certified strength/conditioning specialist (CSCS-NSCA), and a member of the Sports Section of the APTA.
Before joining U-District, Jamie was a two-time All-American rower at Yale, and a 6-time member of the US Rowing Team. While rowing for Team USA, she won seven World Cup medals, set a world record, and was the port-reserve for the 2012 Olympics in London. Since retiring from elite rowing, she has served as rowing’s rep to the Athletes Advisory Council of the US Olympic Committee. She also traveled with Team USA as the athlete rep at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 2018 Pyeong Chang Paralympics, and 2016 Rio Paralympics. When she’s not working, Jamie enjoys trail running, coaching xc-skiing on Mt. Spokane, and eating ice cream at the Scoop.

Riki first joined the U-District PT team in 2011 as an Intern / PT Aide while working towards her B.S. in Biology from Eastern Washington University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University and re-joined the UD Team as a Physical Therapist in 2015. Riki has a passion for health/wellness with special interest in women’s health conditions including pregnancy and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Outside of work Riki enjoys crossfit, travel, home DIY projects and spending time with family and friends.

Sami joined the U-District team in the fall of 2018. Her professional interests include orthopedic rehabilitation and women’s health / pelvic floor rehabilitation. Outside of work, Sami enjoys playing softball, basketball, spikeball, running, paddle boarding, watching any and all Oregon Duck games, and spending time with her dogs, friends and family. Sami grew up in Milwaukie, OR and earned her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Whitworth University where she also played second base for the softball team. In her career, she was a two-time selection to the Academic All-District Division III Softball Team. She went on to attend Eastern Washington University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Andrew grew up in Northern Kentucky and earned a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Northern Kentucky University. He then attended Marshall University in West Virginia where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Andrew was a student PT at the U-District in 2015 and later returned to Spokane and the U-District as a full time Physical Therapist in 2017. He enjoys all outdoor activities, climbing, soccer and spending time with his wife, their two daughters and two dogs.

Kaitlyn grew up in Hillsboro, OR and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho. As a Vandal, she competed 4 years of golf earning athletic and academic all-conference honors. She went on to receive her DPT at the University of Colorado. Kaitlyn joined the U-District team when she moved to Spokane in 2022, and enjoys treating patients with all types of injuries using a combination of manual therapy and specific exercise. Kaitlyn is committed to being a lifelong learner, completing a year-long post-professional Orthopaedic Certification through Evidence in Motion to advance her manual therapy and clinical skills. Kaitlyn became Board Certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2021. She also has additional training in women’s health and is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Medical 2 Provider, leading U-District’s golf rehabilitation and injury prevention program. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog, playing golf, skiing, cooking, and trying out local restaurants.

Emma joined the U-District team in 2021. She graduated from Gonzaga University in 2017 where she also played for the women’s basketball team. In her career she advanced to the NCAA sweet 16 and won 4 WCC tournament titles. After multiple injuries requiring physical therapy she decided to pursue a career in this field. Outside of work Emma enjoys playing basketball, hiking, baking and spending time with friends and family.

Jeff grew up in Davenport, WA and earned his B.A. from Carroll College in 2014, majoring in Biology with a Chemistry minor. He started at Sacred Heart Medical Center in 2015, working in the lab before transitioning to the Emergency Department as an EDA in February of 2020. He went back for his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Spokane Falls Community College, graduating in 2024. He became interested in physical therapy after recovering from his own injuries experienced during football, parkour/gymnastics, and a significant MVA. Jeff enjoys distance running, weightlifting, snowboarding in the Winter, and floating in the Summers.

Chris joined the U-District team in 2021. He graduated from physical therapy school at the University of Southern California in 2014, followed by completion of an orthopedic certified specialist (OCS) residency program at Pine Street Physical Therapy in 2016. He grew up playing competitive soccer through high school, spent several years surfing during his undergraduate years at UC Santa Barbara, and now enjoys fly fishing, camping, and fighting off the dad bod by working out in his home gym.

Cody was born and raised in Kennewick, Washington. He moved to Spokane to attend Whitworth University where he played football for the Pirates and earned his bachelor’s degree. Spokane became his home so much so, he decided to stay and attend Eastern Washington University where he earned his DPT. What he enjoys most about physical therapy is being able to connect with his patients and help them down the road to recovery. He particularly likes working with orthopedic conditions such as post-surgery and sports related injuries. When not in the clinic you can find him outside hunting, fishing, hiking, or cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Caden grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho, and developed an appreciation for movement, performance, and the outdoors. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Idaho before completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University in 2025.
Caden is passionate about working with individuals who are invested in their health and motivated to challenge themselves. He believes in empowering people to move confidently, build resilience, and push beyond perceived limits.
Outside of the clinic, Caden enjoys time outdoors, lifting heavy objects, spending time with his wife and dog, and relentlessly pursuing the perfect loaf of homemade bread.

Erika was born in Snohomish, WA and graduated from WSU with her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and minor in Business Administration in 2017. In 2018, Erika joined the U District team as an aide and front desk employee for 3 years. She left for school at SFCC and graduated in 2023 with her A.A. in Physical Therapist Assistant. Erika has gained her certification in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. She was interested in the physical therapy field with her own experiences of injuries from soccer, softball, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. During her free time, she enjoys going on hikes with her dog, golfing, paddle boarding, road trips, and winter sports.

I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Fox University and my BS in Psychology from Western Oregon University. In PT school I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Uganda and work with children who had a variety of disabilities educating them and their caregivers on how to improve functional independence and their quality of life. I love getting to know my patients on a personal level. Everyone has their own story to tell and as a Physical Therapist we have the rare opportunity to spend significant time with our patients. Your goals are my goals. I am PNW native, new to the Spokane area, recently moving from Beaverton, Oregon. I grew up playing competitive soccer through high school, coached for 6 years through college and grad school, and now primarily enjoy rooting for Liverpool FC. I also enjoy hiking, camping, back packing and road trips.

Sophie graduated from Eastern Washington University with her BS in Exercise Science and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from George Fox University. Throughout her time in school she found a passion for treating artistic athletes, dancers, and patients struggling with low back pain. While treating all impairments, she prioritizes using evidence-based practice and values holistic patient-centered care.
Sophie grew up as a competitive dancer and is excited about incorporating her passion for dance into her physical therapy practice. She is originally from Spokane and spends her free time doing all things outdoors, exploring nature, and spending time with family.
She recently went to Africa in June last year with George Fox University on a medical service trip to treat adults and pediatric populations.
She was a competitive dancer throughout high school and continues to dance whenever she can!

Tyler was born and raised right here in Spokane, WA and has been a member of the U-district team since 2015. He graduated from WSU with his B.S. in Psychology and minor in Kinesiology, Then again from SFCC in 2018 with his A.A. in Physical Therapist Assistant. He first became interested in Physical Therapy after tearing his ACL twice while skiing. He enjoys being outside and loves the winter and snow sports. He was also a very avid soccer player and still really enjoys the sport and helping people return to the activities that they are passionate about.

Mackenzie joined the U-District team in 2023. She originally grew up in Snoqualmie, WA before attending and playing soccer at Whitworth University. She then graduated from Eastern Washington University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Spokane has quickly become home for her! Mackenzie’s favorite aspect of physical therapy is the power of movement and human resilience and being able to connect and build relationships with patients and colleagues. Additional certifications include being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist via NSCA and a Women’s Health Specialist trained in pelvic floor physical therapy. Mackenzie enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. On the evenings and weekends, you can find her on the pitch as the assistant coach for the Whitworth Bucs Women’s Soccer team!

Rob grew up in Walla Walla, WA prior to getting his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Eastern Washington University in 2011. He would then go on to get his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Spokane Falls Community College. Rob has spent the majority of his professional career treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting, but also has experience in aquatic therapy, chronic pain, and injured workers. He was drawn to the field of physical therapy with hopes to be involved in the community, promote physical fitness and improve his patient’s quality of life. He also enjoys weightlifting, combat sports, and is an avid NBA fan.

Hunter grew up in Spokane, where he was a multi-sport athlete at West Valley High School and went on to continue his athletic career at the collegiate level. He attended Corban University where he played baseball and graduated with a Kinesiology degree with an emphasis in physical therapy. Hunter hopes to continue his passion for health & fitness as he pursues a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the coming years. Hunter enjoys spending time outdoors either hunting, fishing, or playing golf. If you don’t find him outside somewhere, you will most likely find him in the gym or spending time with his family.
