Our therapy philosophy is based on a team approach using physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and physical therapy aides. Our staff comes together every month for continuing education and to share the latest rehab techniques.
Erin received her BS in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University where she played club volleyball and ultimate frisbee. She then earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and was president of her class at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Erin has had a lengthy career at U-District since 2008. Erin started as an intern, was hired on as a PT aide, became a patient after having ACL reconstruction and is proud to complete her journey as a Physical Therapist and the clinic manager at our Kendall Yards location. Erin’s passion is in orthopedic manual therapy and exercise focused treatment utilizing research-based techniques to restore you to your best level of function. She derives joy from working with a variety of people, ranging from kids to older adults with all manners of lifestyles, hobbies and goals. When not working, she can be found reading, gardening, keeping up with her two boy, daughter and husband, fly fishing and camping.
Aaryn received her undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University, where she played collegiate tennis. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California. Aaryn is our Liberty Lake clinic’s physical therapist manager. She has previous experience in pediatric physical therapy and has been a member of the U-District team since 2007.
Chris grew up in Denver, CO and received his undergraduate degree in Chris grew up in Denver, CO and received his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University. While attending CSU, he also worked for the athletic training department primarily with the CSU football team. He then attended Regis University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He enjoys playing golf, the outdoors, and is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Denver Broncos.
John graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During his studies he gained experience as a personal trainer and additionally, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Cycling Coach, and has worked extensively with endurance athletes as a physical therapist, coach, and consultant. While he works with individuals of all abilities and ages, he has a clinical focus in conditions related to the knee and hip (specifically ACL reconstruction rehabilitation), working with tactical athletes, and endurance athletes. He aims to provide holistic treatment that emphasizes understanding of the whole person, and empowering individuals to have a positive relationship with exercise and movement. Outside of professional responsibilities, John enjoys competing in endurance sports, rock climbing, backpacking, and landscape photography.
Jeff earned his BS and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Jeff is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He combines his unique educational background to provide physical therapy services to youth athletes through active seniors.
Amber earned her BS at Washington State University, where she also competed for the WSU swim team and was honored as a NCAA All American Academic Athlete. She then earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Amber has combined her passion for swimming and rehabilitation by becoming aquatic therapy certified and has been working in aquatic therapy since 2002. She is also certified through the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopedic Specialist, an elite certification held by less than 5% of physical therapists. Amber specializes in manual orthopedic therapy and aquatic therapy. Her focus is on individualized research based physical therapy to return you to your desired level of function.
Christine graduated from Western Washington University with a BS in Exercise Science and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Christine is a Physical Therapist and a board certified Sports Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Emergency Medical Responder. Christine is a clinical instructor, guest lecturer in EWU’s DPT program, and writer on health topics in the Spokane Club Signals magazine. She enjoys promoting and living an active lifestyle with her husband and three children. Christine has been a member of the U-District team since 2005.
Jamie joined U-District PT in 2015. She received her doctorate from Eastern Washington University, and is a licensed physical therapist in the state of Washington. Her interests include: orthopedic rehab, return-to-sport, pediatric/teen rehab, and manual therapy. Jamie is also a certified strength/conditioning specialist (CSCS-NSCA), and a member of the Sports Section of the APTA.
Before joining U-District, Jamie was a two-time All-American rower at Yale, and a 6-time member of the US Rowing Team. While rowing for Team USA, she won seven World Cup medals, set a world record, and was the port-reserve for the 2012 Olympics in London. Since retiring from elite rowing, she has served as rowing’s rep to the Athletes Advisory Council of the US Olympic Committee. She also traveled with Team USA as the athlete rep at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 2018 Pyeong Chang Paralympics, and 2016 Rio Paralympics. When she’s not working, Jamie enjoys trail running, coaching xc-skiing on Mt. Spokane, and eating ice cream at the Scoop.
Riki first joined the U-District PT team in 2011 as an Intern / PT Aide while working towards her B.S. in Biology from Eastern Washington University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University and re-joined the UD Team as a Physical Therapist in 2015. Riki has a passion for health/wellness with special interest in women’s health conditions including pregnancy and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Outside of work Riki enjoys crossfit, travel, home DIY projects and spending time with family and friends.
Sami joined the U-District team in the fall of 2018. Her professional interests include orthopedic rehabilitation and women’s health / pelvic floor rehabilitation. Outside of work, Sami enjoys playing softball, basketball, spikeball, running, paddle boarding, watching any and all Oregon Duck games, and spending time with her dogs, friends and family. Sami grew up in Milwaukie, OR and earned her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Whitworth University where she also played second base for the softball team. In her career, she was a two-time selection to the Academic All-District Division III Softball Team. She went on to attend Eastern Washington University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Andrew grew up in Northern Kentucky and earned a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Northern Kentucky University. He then attended Marshall University in West Virginia where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Andrew was a student PT at the U-District in 2015 and later returned to Spokane and the U-District as a full time Physical Therapist in 2017. He enjoys all outdoor activities, climbing, soccer and spending time with his wife, their two daughters and two dogs.
During her undergraduate years at EWU, Hailey spent her time teaching yoga and barre, lifting weights, competing in local triathlons, and running races. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in Southern California before moving back to her hometown of Spokane, WA. Hailey’s approach to physical therapy to treat the person as a whole, drawing on her lengthy experience in yoga and her own wellness journey. She loves working with all age ranges and ability levels, and feels most fulfilled when she can ease pain and restore function to her patients so they can live their best lives. These days she spends her free time listening to records, reading, running, cooking with her husband, and snuggling her greyhound Stevie Nicks.
Emma joined the U-District team in 2021. She graduated from Gonzaga University in 2017 where she also played for the women’s basketball team. In her career she advanced to the NCAA sweet 16 and won 4 WCC tournament titles. After multiple injuries requiring physical therapy she decided to pursue a career in this field. Outside of work Emma enjoys playing basketball, hiking, baking and spending time with friends and family.
Trevor joined the U-District Team in 2022. He graduated from Washington State University in 2016 for his undergraduate degree and from Eastern Washington University for Physical Therapy in 2022. Trevor found his passion for physical therapy when he was a patient receiving his own PT after an ankle injury while playing soccer in college. Trevor enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them reach their goals. Trevor fell in love with exploring Spokane and the nearby areas as he loves to hike, camp, fish, and golf.
Chris joined the U-District team in 2021. He graduated from physical therapy school at the University of Southern California in 2014, followed by completion of an orthopedic certified specialist (OCS) residency program at Pine Street Physical Therapy in 2016. He grew up playing competitive soccer through high school, spent several years surfing during his undergraduate years at UC Santa Barbara, and now enjoys fly fishing, camping, and fighting off the dad bod by working out in his home gym.
Cody was born and raised in Kennewick, Washington. He moved to Spokane to attend Whitworth University where he played football for the Pirates and earned his bachelor’s degree. Spokane became his home so much so, he decided to stay and attend Eastern Washington University where he earned his DPT. What he enjoys most about physical therapy is being able to connect with his patients and help them down the road to recovery. He particularly likes working with orthopedic conditions such as post-surgery and sports related injuries. When not in the clinic you can find him outside hunting, fishing, hiking, or cheering on his favorite sports teams.
Kaitlyn grew up in Hillsboro, OR and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho. As a Vandal, she competed 4 years of golf earning athletic and academic all-conference honors. She went on to receive her DPT at the University of Colorado. Kaitlyn joined the U-District team when she moved to Spokane in 2022, and enjoys treating patients with all types of injuries using a combination of manual therapy and specific exercise. Kaitlyn is committed to being a lifelong learner, completing a year-long post-professional Orthopaedic Certification through Evidence in Motion to advance her manual therapy and clinical skills. Kaitlyn became Board Certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2021. She also has additional training in women’s health. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog, playing golf, skiing, cooking, and trying out local restaurants.
Rob grew up in Walla Walla, WA prior to getting his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Eastern Washington University in 2011. He would then go on to get his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Spokane Falls Community College. Rob has spent the majority of his professional career treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting, but also has experience in aquatic therapy, chronic pain, and injured workers. He was drawn to the field of physical therapy with hopes to be involved in the community, promote physical fitness and improve his patient’s quality of life. He also enjoys weightlifting, combat sports, and is an avid NBA fan.
Tyler was born and raised right here in Spokane, WA and has been a member of the U-district team since 2015. He graduated from WSU with his B.S. in Psychology and minor in Kinesiology, Then again from SFCC in 2018 with his A.A. in Physical Therapist Assistant. He first became interested in Physical Therapy after tearing his ACL twice while skiing. He enjoys being outside and loves the winter and snow sports. He was also a very avid soccer player and still really enjoys the sport and helping people return to the activities that they are passionate about.
Tayler recently graduated from Spokane Falls Community College, Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Prior to this position, she was an aide with our company for nearly two and a half years. “I’m a people person!. So wherever the people are, you’ll most likely find me!” On the weekends Tayler enjoys making coffee for others, spending the day cozied up in a blanket watching movies, or enjoying a hike outdoors. “Whether you start your day off with movement or coffee, either way I’m your gal!”
My name is Brand, I was born and raise in Spokane, Wa. I earned my bachelors in science at Eastern Washington University and studied exercise science with a minor in psychology and personal training. After that I went to Spokane Falls community college for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. I would love to specialize in pelvic floor, shoulder and knee injuries in the near future. I am also personal training and nutrition certified. I love to lift weights, compete in bodybuilding and powerlifting, and also love to snowboard, hike, dirt bike, and hang out with my doggo and boyfriend in my free time.
Abby was born and raised in Virginia, where she was state competitor in tennis. She graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Health Sciences and a concentration in Physical Therapy. Abby moved to the PNW with her husband in 2018 and can be found rooting on Gonzaga athletics, or out in nature with a pack strapped to her back in the mountains, or skis on her feet in the winter.
Hunter grew up in Spokane, where he was a multi-sport athlete at West Valley High School and went on to continue his athletic career at the collegiate level. He attended Corban University where he played baseball and graduated with a Kinesiology degree with an emphasis in physical therapy. Hunter hopes to continue his passion for health & fitness as he pursues a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the coming years. Hunter enjoys spending time outdoors either hunting, fishing, or playing golf. If you don’t find him outside somewhere, you will most likely find him in the gym or spending time with his family.
Donovan was born and raised in Spokane, graduating from University High School in 2018 and EWU in 2020 with an Exercise Science degree. He enjoys staying active in the community both through playing semi-professional football for the Spokane Wolfpack in the GDFL, and volunteering his time to coach basketball at East Valley High School. Donovan hopes to further his education by pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in the near future.
Ian is from Bainbridge Island, Washington and graduated from Gonzaga University in 2022. While at Gonzaga, Ian was a member of the Cheer team, where he was able to travel to the NCAA basketball tournament with both mens and womens teams. During this time, Ian developed an interest in strength training and coaching which led him to earning his CSCS. Ian is an Aide and Trainer at U-District, with the goal of pursuing strength training in collegiate athletics. While not at work, you can find Ian lifting weights, hiking, or skiing.
Isabel was born and raised in Seattle. She graduated from Whitworth University in 2022 with a degree in Health Science and competed on the swim team. She aspires to pursue a career in physical therapy. Outside of work, Isabel enjoys swimming, lifting, spinning, and reading.
Johnny grew up in Spokane, WA and attended Ferris High School where he participated in track & field. He studied Population Health at University of Washington and also interned with their Sports Medicine department. He hopes to work in Athletics at the collegiate level. When he isn’t at U-District, Johnny likes to hike and visit National parks.
Connor joined the U-District PT team in May 2022 after graduating from Whitworth University. He played baseball at Whitworth and graduated with a BA in Kinesiology and a BA in Community Health. He enjoys spending time outdoors staying active as well as trying to play golf. He and his wife like to play card games and root on the Seahawks and Mariners.
Daniel joined the U-District in the winter of 2022. He graduated from Gonzaga in the spring of 2022 where he also played on the baseball team. Daniel enjoys cheering on the mariners, playing golf, and spending time with his friends and family.
Rylie graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2021 with a degree in Exercise Science. Planning on going to school to be a Physical Therapy Assistant. Likes to spend her free time watching horror movies. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Kyle is from Richland, Washington and he joined the team in July 2022 after graduating from Eastern Washington University in June with a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy and a minor in Psychology. Kyle loves many sports, but baseball is his favorite. In his career, Kyle won a Washington State 4A State title at Richland High School and was also a collegiate athlete as he played baseball at Walla Walla Community College for two years playing third base and shortstop. After hanging up his cleats, he decided to switch over to playing golf in his free time. He has a passion for sports medicine and is currently trying to get into PT school to pursue his dream career of Physical Therapy and hopefully find himself working with a professional sports team.
Ellis is from Edmonds, Washington and graduated from EWU in 2021 with a degree in Exercise Science. While at EWU Ellis began personal training and coaching. Ellis is now working to pursue a career in Physical Therapy with a focus on sports performance. In his off time Ellis enjoys lifting, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors with friends and family.
Mak joined the U-District team working as an aide and front desk at both the Kendall Yards and Downtown location in 2022. She is originally from Sacramento California, but moved to Spokane to play softball at Whitworth University. She graduated from Whitworth University in 2022 with a degree in Community Health. She enjoys doing all things outdoors with her husband, as well as playing cards, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being active!
Millie attended Whitworth University for undergraduate and Pacific University for her masters in Athletic training. She currently works full-time at Gonzaga Prep and does concussion protocol management consultations.
